Privacy policy
Last updated 5 October 2026.
This policy explains what information binarytranslator.ai handles when you use the site, and what it does not collect.
What you type into the tools
Every converter and calculator on this site runs in your browser with JavaScript. The text, numbers and files you enter are processed on your own device and are not sent to our server or stored by us. When you open a file in a tool, it is read locally and never uploaded.
The Share button creates a link with your input placed after the # in the address. Browsers do not send that part of a link to the server, so we cannot see what a shared link contains. Anyone you give the link to can read it, though, so do not share links that contain private information.
Settings saved in your browser
The tools remember choices such as the encoding, separator and output style, and the site remembers whether you picked light or dark mode. These settings are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us, and you can remove them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Server and network logs
Like almost every website, this one is delivered through a web host and a network provider that keep technical logs of requests. The site is hosted by Hostinger and served through Cloudflare. Their logs can include your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. They are used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and block abusive traffic. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie for bot protection; the cookie policy lists every cookie and browser storage entry the site uses. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy and Hostinger's privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.
Analytics and advertising
The site uses Google Analytics, added through Google's Site Kit plugin, to count visits and see which pages and tools people use. It records things like the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that sent you, your approximate location such as country or city, and your device and browser type. It never receives what you type into a tool, because tool input does not leave your browser.
Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, to tell one visit from another. They last up to two years. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google handles this data under the Google privacy policy, and Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.
To opt out, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or block cookies for this site in your browser. Every tool works the same either way.
The site does not show ads at the moment. If ads are added, this policy will be updated first to name the ad provider, list its cookies and explain your choices.
Fonts
The headings and text use fonts served by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details for that request. Google Fonts does not set cookies.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to outside references such as Wikipedia or MDN. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
Children
The tools are used by students of all ages. Because the site does not ask for names, email addresses or accounts, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The analytics described above count visits and do not identify who you are.
Your choices and rights
The only personal information we can link to you is an email you sent us. You can ask what we hold and ask us to delete it by writing to [email protected]. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California give you rights to access, correct or delete your data, and we will honor those requests. We do not sell personal information.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it.
Contact
Questions about this policy or about how the site handles data can go to [email protected]. If you email us, your address is used only to reply and is not added to any mailing list. Emails are kept only as long as needed to answer you and fix what you reported.
