Disclaimer
The tools and articles on binarytranslator.ai are free to use and are checked with care, but they come with no guarantee. Please read this before you rely on a result for anything important.
Results are provided as is
Every converter is tested against known answers (see how we check our tools), yet no software is free of bugs. Results are provided as is, without any warranty that they are correct, complete or fit for a particular purpose.
Check before critical use
If a value will end up in firmware, a network or security setting, a financial record, a medical device or any system where a wrong number causes harm, confirm it with a second method first. The "Show the working" panel on each tool makes a hand check quick. Settings matter too: the same bits mean different numbers as signed or unsigned values, and the same bytes decode to different text in UTF-8 and Windows-1252.
Educational content
The explanations, tables and examples are written to help you learn and check your own work. They are not professional engineering, legal or financial advice. Teachers and course materials sometimes use different conventions, for example on bit order or on how to write negative numbers, so follow your course where it differs.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to outside references such as standards documents, Wikipedia or MDN. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they publish.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, binarytranslator.ai is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its results. The full terms are in the terms of use.
Changes and corrections
Tools and pages are updated as bugs are fixed and features are added, and this disclaimer may change with them. If you find a mistake, email [email protected] and it will be looked into.
